The West Liberty FFA Chapter has achieved one of the highest honors in agricultural education, earning the Superior National Chapter Award through the National FFA Organization. This prestigious recognition highlights chapters that demonstrate excellence in developing student leadership, building strong communities, and advancing agricultural education through innovative and impactful programming.
The National Chapter Award Program evaluates FFA chapters across three key divisions: Growing Leaders, Building Communities, and Strengthening Agriculture. Chapters submit detailed applications showcasing year-long activities, student involvement, and measurable impacts. Only the most outstanding chapters from each state advance to national recognition, with “Superior” designation reserved for those that exemplify the very best of FFA.
West Liberty FFA not only earned this elite distinction but also secured the title of the #1 chapter in the state of Iowa. This achievement reflects the dedication of its members, advisors, and community supporters who continuously strive for excellence. Their efforts stood out particularly in the Strengthening Agriculture division, where they were recognized as a top program nationally. This division focuses on projects that directly support and advance the agricultural industry through education, hands-on experiences, and community engagement.

Through initiatives such as agricultural literacy outreach, hands-on learning opportunities, and partnerships with local producers, West Liberty FFA has demonstrated a strong commitment to preparing students for future careers in agriculture. Their success is a testament to the power of student-driven leadership and the impact of agricultural education at the local level.
Earning the Superior National Chapter Award places West Liberty FFA among the top chapters in the nation, showcasing their program as a model of excellence and innovation.
