SAE Projects - Animal Systems

The animal systems pathway includes occupations related to the raising and caring of animals and developing more efficient ways of producing and processing meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products. Workers study genetics, nutrition, reproduction, growth and care of domesticated farm animals.

What do you enjoy about your SAE: I really enjoy the responsibilities of taking care and feeding my calf. I like the bond that I create with him and I like learning more about the responsibilities everyday.

What do you enjoy about your SAE: I love having something I can go to to relax. I also love the responsibility of taking care of something other than myself. It is cool to see the way other animals react to you in certain situations.

What do you enjoy about your SAE: I love having the responsibility to take care of an animal, and also getting to do something that not a lot of people get to do. I love the bond that you form between yourself and your animal and the challenges.

What do you enjoy about your SAE: I enjoy walking my animal and showing at the county fair. My favorite part of my SAE is seeing how much growth my animal and I have had throughout the year and getting the see the hard work and long hours pay off in the end.
