As the semester winds down, West Liberty agriculture students are staying busy preparing for finals through hands-on, project-based learning experiences. Rather than traditional tests alone, many students are demonstrating their knowledge through practical applications that reflect real-world agricultural skills.
In the shop, woodworking projects are in full swing. Students are putting the finishing touches on items they have designed and built themselves, ranging from small household pieces to larger construction projects. These projects require precision, planning, and problem-solving—skills that are essential both in agriculture and beyond. For many students, the shop serves as a space where creativity and technical ability come together.
Meanwhile, the greenhouse is beginning to come alive as students start the process of planting and early crop management. From seed selection to proper planting techniques, students are gaining firsthand experience in plant science. The greenhouse provides a living classroom where students can observe growth cycles and prepare for the busy spring season.

Through project-based learning, West Liberty agriculture students are not only preparing for finals—they are building skills that will last a lifetime.
